The Breath

Within the breathing lies the access to miracles!  Spirere is the latin root for spirit.  It also means breathe.  In order for us to make an effective transition into “oneness” of consciousness, it is absolutely vital that we become masters of the breathing process.

In the massage arts, to be integral and truly effective, we must eliminate the dual nature.  We want there to be no giver and no receiver.  We want there to be just the art in its essence being uninhibited and freely actualizing its potential.  For example, in music, the songwriter wants to become one with the song.  In sculpture, the potter becomes one with the pottery.  In weaving, the weaver becomes one with the tapestry.  In the culinary arts, the cook becomes one with the sumptuous dish.  In dancing the dancer becomes one with the dance.  In swordsmanship, the swordsman becomes one with the sword.  In parenting the mother becomes one with the child.  Also in massage therapy, we want to become one with our noble craft.  This is the ideal unified spirit.

Whatever spirit one needs to transition into the golden chariot of guaranteed delivery for this to occur is the breathing process.  Bring the bio-mechanisms of the breathing process into a reverential light of consciousness.  Elevate the breathing process from the confines of the autonomic nervous system, wherein we find the Unconscious processes of elimination and digestion, to the realm of well-attended awareness, and then we have successfully made whole the scholar and studiousness, the lover and the loved, the politician and politics, and the athlete and sport.

The massage therapist will be ushered into mysticism and pure healing!

Breathe.

Set up a formula/ratio for yourself of inspirations to expirations.  Ask the angels of learning to teach you the development of your solar plexus and abdominal area.  Achieve the goals of dynamic duration and stamina in breathing.  This is a cherished treasure of happiness and success.

In Sanskrit, the mother of all Indo-Aryan tongues, the word for navel is NABHAR.  Nabhar means “bright shiny stone that solves”.  In other semitic languages navel means “to foretell the future” and “to prophesize”.  In Thai, navel is Sadang and it means “the original Place.”

We have volumes of research available to us about the breath and its mysticism.  We can inherit for ourselves this priceless discovery and secret!  We can develop the “trance at will” skill that is so diligently pursued by aspirants of enlightenment and self-realization.

To activate the element of intelligence as an enlightening force, use conscious breathing during walking, talking, dancing, prayer, tantra, study, eating, and music.

Let’s massage!
